Job Title: SENIOR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior System Administrator. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of reverse proxies, website administration and development, as well as Unix/Linux system administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web architecture, load balancers, application design concepts, and system administration tools.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Architect/design guidance aerospace and defense customers by participating in the execution of projects to support the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of the infrastructure
- Technical design documentation
- Tier III ticket response to problems and change requests
- Create scripts/utilities to automate repetitive tasks (back-ups, refreshes, failovers, etc.)
- Lead special projects identified by the customer relating to Reverse Proxy
- Define common processes and procedures to ensure server stability, performance, and availability
- Provide technical expertise for integration and mitigation of applications.
Experience:
- 5+ years experience in website administration and development
- 5+ years experience in reverse proxies and Unix/Linux system administration
- Experience in application usability management
- Experience in design testing and quality assurance
- HTML/JavaScript/CSS
- Experience working with the customer requirements
Required:
- Demonstrated experience with web server software and database connectivity
- Familiar with IT Security principles and SSL
- Knowledge of programming/scripting in Linux and UNIX
- Detailed knowledge of Linux and Unix operating systems
- Strong experience with tools that provide services such as application testing, web application servers, and content management.
- Provide off-hours diagnostic and troubleshooting support as required
- Self-motivated person who takes the initiative to accomplish project goals
- Desire to learn
Preferred:
- Ability to technically lead discussions and design sessions
- Ability to interact with all levels of management, employees, industry peers, and customers
- Solid oral and written communication skills
